Vinyl Decals are screen printed with UV curable inks. These inks will last outdoors without a laminate for approx. 3-5 years.  Overlaminating will exceed the life but adds about 30% to the cost. UV inks have a high gloss, are very durable and scratch resistant.

Do you know the difference between a Decal and a Label?

Labels are offset printed in roll form using indoor use water based inks. Most of the time paper is used as the base material. Labels are typically high volume and inexpensive compared to decals.

Decals are screen printed using outdoor UV or solvent based inks. Most of the time vinyl film is used as the base material. Decals are typically for long term permanent use, digital printed short runs are available, and large format. We print up to 30” x 40” images.  Decals use acrylic based adhesives. These adhesives have a medium initial tack and continue to bond to the surface over time. The longer it is applied the stronger it holds. Rubber based adhesives typically found on paper labels have a high initial tack but will dry out over time. Rubber based adhesive performs well indoor, acrylic based adhesive is designed for outdoor use. We provide both decals and labels.
