Do you know the difference between a Decal and a Label?

Labels are offset printed in roll form using indoor use water based inks. Most of the time paper is used as the base material. Labels are typically high volume and inexpensive compared to decals.

Decals are screen printed using outdoor UV or solvent based inks for long term exterior or interior use. Most of the time vinyl film is used as the base material. We screen print up to 30” x 40” images. For large format and / or short runs, we will print digitally. Decals use acrylic based adhesives. These adhesives have a medium initial tack and continue to bond to the surface over time. The longer it is applied the stronger it holds. Rubber based adhesives typically found on paper labels have a high initial tack but are not designed for long term use. Rubber based adhesive performs well indoor, acrylic based adhesive is designed for outdoor use. We provide both decals and labels.
