Direct Print ADA Signs
or 3-D Printed ADA Signs

ADA direct print (or direct-to-substrate UV printing) creates ADA-compliant signage by using UV LED printers to apply ink in multiple layers, forming raised tactile characters and domed Braille directly on substrates. This method eliminates traditional engraving or appliqué, allowing faster, customized production of compliant, durable, and detailed signs, often within minutes.

Key Aspects of ADA Direct Printing:

  • Technology: Cornerstone Sign & Decal uses state of the art equipment using UV-cured ink that is cured immediately, allowing for 3D printing of text and Braille dots.

  • Compliant Requirements: Ensures raised letters are 1/32" high (often achieved through layers of ink) and Braille is properly sized, spaced, and rounded.

  • Durability: Vandal resistant, one piece construction. Exterior grade. Integral color.

  • Advantages: This technique allows for detailed dimensional graphics, full-color backgrounds, and, in many cases, faster production than traditional labor-intensive methods for complex signs.
